EXTRA-CURRICULAR

  St. Peter School attempts to meet the needs of all students.  Activities outside the classroom are offered throughout the year to students at varying age levels.  These may vary from year to year depending on the demand and availability of parents who are willing to supervise.  Some enrichment activities, which might enhance class work may take place during classroom time. If you have a skill or talent, which could be shared with the students, please contact the school office.

Bellarmine Speech League

Speech League is open to 5 - 8 graders.  Students participate in three speech meets per year.  with other students in the Diocese.  They can participate in humorous, serious, or duet acting.
 

Diocesan Music Day

Held every other year students travel to the Cathedral and perform two selections of music.

Geography Bee

Held locally in December students in 4 - 8 participate at a local level school.  Winner participates at state level.

 

Safety Patrol

Fifth grade students serve as crossing guards during after school dismissal.

 

Band

Available in conjunction with Fulton Public Schools.

 

Diocesan Sketch Day

Sketch day is held every spring.  Participants sketch at a location in Jefferson City and compete against other Diocesan schools.

 

Diocesan Science Fair

The science fair is held every other year.  Students participate in science projects.  Winners of local science fair participate in the Diocesan science fair.

 

Spelling Bee

 

D.A.R.E.

D. A. R. E. is taught to the fifth grade for several weeks by Major Rice of the Fulton Police Department.

Library Club

Open to all sixth graders.  Library club members help keep the library orderly and repair books.  Library club is sponsored by Sr. Dolores.

 

Pep Club

Pep club is open to students in Kindergarten through fourth grades.  They meet every other Wednesday afternoon to learn cheers and pep routines.  They cheer at all home basketball games.  Pep club is sponsored by Mrs. Frame
